Lead Bus Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Bus Technician to join our team at Transdev in Winter Park, CO. As a Shop Lead Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our transit vehicles, making a difference in the community we serve. If you are experienced in managing vehicle maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, and leading a team of technicians, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Manage transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assign work, distribute parts, and document all aspects of maintenance tasks.
• Coach and monitor team members, ensuring quality work and efficient operations.
• Execute upgrades, modifications, and on-road repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a shop and workforce.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of WABCO, Pro-Heat Systems, Thermo-King systems, and more.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
• ASE certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 24 months.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team.
• CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred.
• Ability to pass DOT physical examination and background/drug tests.
