Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Joyce University on a part-time basis. This position, based at our Draper, UT campus, involves a variety of tasks related to facility repairs and general campus maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple trades, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and work well independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain campus aesthetics
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
• Regularly inspect facilities for potential maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
• Assist with furniture assembly and installation
• Conduct basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal
• Utilize plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years experience in maintenance roles
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capability to lift heavy objects
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Licensing in relevant trades is a plus

Compensation: $22-25 per hour
