Job Description

The Construction Project Director at BluSky is tasked with managing and closing new business opportunities that stem from personal business development and marketing efforts. Working closely with commercial, industrial, government, and residential property owners and managers affected by disasters, the Project Director develops cost estimates for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Negotiate and execute contracts
  • Convert opportunities into sales
  • Track and measure sales activities

Revenue:

  • Oversee revenue production in line with goals
  • Ensure timely billing
  • Provide direction to project teams
  • Review project schedules

Profit Margins:

  • Develop project budgets
  • Ensure margin compliance
  • Supervise project costs

AR & Collections:

  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Review invoicing & payment processes
  • Perform collection calls
  • Maintain DSO

Manage Near Term Opportunities:

  • Close leads
  • Communicate with clients
  • Document interactions in CRM

Business Development Activity:

  • Attend business development meetings
  • Participate in marketing events
  • Entertain clients to drive sales

Estimating Proficiency:

  • Accurate project estimation
  • Estimate to meet target margins

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Maintain communication with stakeholders
  • Set and manage customer expectations
  • Monitor project progress

Working and Coordinating with Internal Teams:

  • Coordinate mitigation work
  • Collaborate with reconstruction teams
  • Engage with Business Development and Project Accountants
