Early Head Start Teacher

HumanKind, a non-profit human services organization focused on community well-being, is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to join our dedicated team. As an EHS Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality early education and child development services to foster children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. This position involves working collaboratively with families and utilizing research-based curriculum to support individualized development in alignment with program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive care and effective teaching to promote healthy development in children.
• Plan and execute engaging activities using research-based curriculum to support individual learning.
• Integrate assessment data into lesson planning and communicate development concerns effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure services are developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive.
• Engage with families through home visits, communication, and education conferences to support parental involvement in education.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, subsidy, and program standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of early childhood care, education, and infant/toddler development.
• Ability to teach various age groups through curriculum and assessments.
• Proficient in technology for lesson planning and communication purposes.
• Capability to lift and carry children, conduct home visits, and manage multiple priorities.
• Minimum qualifications include CDA or equivalent, health documentation, background checks, and references.

Compensation

$14-16.8 per hour
