Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Management Coordinator to join our team at Clear Creek County in Colorado. The role involves overseeing the Emergency Management Department, coordinating with various government levels and private sectors before, during, and after emergencies or disasters. Key responsibilities include developing emergency policies and plans, conducting training and exercises, managing grant administration, and maintaining emergency equipment and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Organize Emergency Operations Center operations and policies.
  • Develop and update emergency plans and ensure alignment with other agencies.
  • Conduct and participate in emergency trainings and exercises.
  • Manage emergency program funding through grants and financial reports.
  • Supervise personnel, provide guidance in emergency situations and liaise with external agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of emergency management experience.
  • Certifications in ICS, Homeland Security, FEMA Professional Development, and First Aid/CPR.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License and ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency management principles, procedures, and technologies.
