Emergency Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As part of our Emergency and Critical Care Department, you will be responsible for triaging and providing care to patients, working closely with our veterinarians to ensure excellent patient outcomes and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients and manage client interactions throughout their visit.
• Partner with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Complete patient daily treatments timely and assist in patient assessment and care.
• Assist in the organization of the Emergency and Critical Care department.
• Process laboratory samples and utilize different imaging modalities for patient assessment.
• Monitor and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have a high school education or equivalent, along with several years of related job experience. Certification or licensing as a veterinary technician is preferred but all skill levels are encouraged to apply. Skills needed include general nursing care, anesthesia administration, assisting in procedures, admitting and discharging patients, and client communication.
