Energy Development Manager, Grid Analytics

Amazon Data Services, Inc., a part of Amazon Web Services (AWS), is looking for a detail-oriented Energy Development Manager, Grid Analytics to join their expanding team. In this role, you will lead transmission planning activities to support the identification of sites for renewable energy projects and power supply opportunities for AWS data centers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and influence transmission planning and generation interconnection models to align with Amazon’s growth plans.
• Manage datasets and key performance indicators to facilitate effective decision-making in renewable energy projects and deployment.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and mitigate transmission constraints.
• Conduct power flow transmission studies to explore alternative decarbonization solutions like Battery storage.
• Facilitate internal and external meetings, manage consultants, and support technical due diligence assessments on power connection options.

Qualifications

Basic:

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure.
• Experience with various infrastructure builds.

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of experience in Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies.
