Job Description

We are looking for an energetic Energy Development Manager specializing in Grid Analytics to join our dynamic team at Amazon Data Services, Inc. As part of the AWS Energy Team, you will play a crucial role in advancing the clean energy sector by leading transmission planning activities, identifying renewable energy project sites, and enhancing power supply opportunities for both existing and future data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and influence transmission planning and generation interconnection models to accommodate Amazon's growth plans.
  • Aggregate and manage datasets to provide key performance indicators for effective business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and mitigate transmission constraints.
  • Conduct power flow transmission studies to explore innovative solutions such as Battery storage for energy decarbonization.
  • Facilitate meetings, manage consultants, and ensure project delivery within allocated timelines.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure.
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies experience.
  • Prior involvement in utility planning or power generation development.
