Engineer

Job Description

The Engineer at The Elser Hotel & Residences is responsible for ensuring the property is maintained in optimal condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. This role involves performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks related to the property's systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning systems, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, and take required readings.
• Test cooling towers, replace televisions, light switches, light bulbs, and perform furniture repairs.
• Repair and replace various equipment and systems including plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and hotel lock systems.
• Perform painting, sheet rock repair, wall covering repair, and maintain repair records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with experience in a hotel setting.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
• Ability to exert physical effort, multitask, and communicate effectively with employees and guests.
• Customer service-oriented, able to handle and solve problems effectively.
