Engineer

Job Description

The Engineer at Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport is responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition with minimal inconvenience to guests and staff. This role includes performing repairs and preventive maintenance on various systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems, etc.
• Read required equipment readings and test cooling towers.
• Replace and program televisions as needed.
• Perform plumbing repairs, furniture repair, and pump replacements.
• Understand and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
• Perform painting, sheet rock, wall covering repairs, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with experience in a hotel setting.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or College coursework in a related field is helpful.
• Flexibility and ability to work long hours when required.
• Effective communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Must attend required hotel meetings and trainings.
• Compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations.
• Ability to handle and solve problems effectively.
• Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.

Salary

Annual Salary: $35,360 - $37,440
