Job Description
The Engineering Manager at The Ketch Inn & Marina is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. In the absence of the Director, the Engineering Manager takes charge of the administrative, financial, and operational aspects related to engineering at the hotel. This is a seasonal position from April to September.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining property, equipment, grounds, and assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Supervise and train all engineering staff in various areas.
- Create and manage schedules, budgets, and maintenance programs.
- Actively participate in energy conservation and safety programs.
- Handle maintenance requests, alarms, and special projects.
- Support and lead in safety committee activities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a related field.
- Stationary engineer's license if required by local code.
- Technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong physical capabilities and ability to communicate effectively.
