Job Description
Hiring an HR Generalist/Recruiter to join AVTEC FINISHING's Metal Plating facility. The ideal candidate should have some exposure to HR department duties, including recruiting, payroll processing, and employee relations. This role focuses primarily on recruiting and will work as part of a team with our Senior HR Manager.

Responsibilities
- Establish adequate employee levels.
- Manage the hiring cycle: post job, review applications, interview, hire, and conduct onboarding & orientation.
- Handle weekly payroll processing and possess knowledge of benefits to explain to employees.
- Ensure reviews and training are completed on time by working with supervisors/managers.
- Assist with employee relations and forward major issues to the Senior HR Manager.
- Ensure quarterly drug testing is completed and plan events such as luncheons and parties.
- Manage attendance policy enforcement and complete verification of employment requests.
- Process terminations, handle unemployment claims, and manage child support paperwork.
- Assist the Senior HR Manager as needed and fulfill other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some entry-level accounting background preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 1 year of human resources experience.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Decisive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate people.
- Effective writing and computer skills, proficiency with Excel and Word.
- Good mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and strong customer service focus.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Ability to lift and move 1-50 lbs. as needed and work independently with little or no supervision.
Job Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 + DOQ
Hiring Bonus: $1500 (not applicable to current employees)
