Job Description

We are hiring a talented Kitchen Cook to join our team at Hornblower - City Experiences in Norfolk, VA. As a Kitchen Cook, you will play a crucial role in managing back-of-the-house cruise execution, maintaining high levels of quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction while ensuring profitability.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-duty kitchen manager for cruises, ensuring adherence to procedures and sanitation codes.
• Recruit and train kitchen staff, participate in scheduling, and oversee kitchen team management.
• Ensure effective execution of each cruise, resolve guest service issues, and maintain high sanitation standards.
• Participate in cost control, inventory management, purchasing, and administration tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of kitchen experience in a full-service/banquet, high-volume setting.
• At least one year of kitchen staff management experience.
• Formal culinary training or additional kitchen experience.
• ServSafe Certified.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, establish working relationships, and communicate effectively.
