Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at Keene Young Men's as part of the childcare program at the YMCA. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for providing direction in the classroom, implementing the curriculum, and ensuring a quality experience for children and parents. This role focuses on upholding YMCA core values while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement curriculum following guidelines
- Design and execute daily lesson plans
- Supervise children and activities
- Conduct ongoing child evaluations
- Facilitate parent conferences
- Maintain program site and records
- Participate in program and staff activities
Requirements
- Meet NH state education and experience requirements (18 ECE Credits)
- Minimum age of 21
- Obtain CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications
- Previous experience in child development (preferred)
- Strong organizational and planning skills
