Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

GENESYS Health Alliance is currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Madison County Jail in Madison, Florida. As a Licensed Practical Nurse in a correctional setting, you will be responsible for providing care to detainees, administering medical treatment, and handling acute and chronic conditions. We are dedicated to providing quality healthcare and ensuring client satisfaction through our innovative healthcare initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient treatments including blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, weight checks, nebulizer treatments, and more as prescribed by medical providers.
• Administer medications, ensure security during administration, and maintain safety protocols.
• Complete initial and ongoing screenings on detained individuals, explaining procedures and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.
