Job Description
We are currently looking to hire a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Madison County Jail in Madison, Florida. As part of GENESYS Health Alliance, a leader in providing quality healthcare in correctional settings, you will be responsible for administering medical care to detainees, treating illnesses and injuries, and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient treatments such as blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and medication administration.
- Follow nursing care plans and collaborate with medical providers to deliver optimal care.
- Screen and assess inmates upon admission, explaining procedures and treatments as needed.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current LPN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
- Full-time availability with the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
- Preferred experience in correctional nursing.
