Job Description

OnPoint Medical Group is seeking a diligent and dedicated LSRT to join our urgent care team on a PRN basis. As part of our physician-led network, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care across our multiple clinic locations, ensuring that health and wellness are accessible and affordable for our community. Your primary responsibilities will include providing patient care and conducting X-rays, ensuring that all medical assistant duties are performed to the highest standard. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the seamless operation of the clinic and play a vital role in optimizing customer satisfaction and flow.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient chief complaint and vital signs prior to them being seen by a provider.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records, prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, maintain patient confidence as per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform lab tests, EKGs, X-rays, and other functions as directed by the provider on duty while also orienting and training incoming LSRT/MA techs on patient care duties and X-ray completion.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the entire center including daily quality control functions.
  • Ensure X-rays are sent for daily overread, optimize customer flow and satisfaction, and assure the proper functioning of back office and X-ray systems.

Requirements

  • LSRT certification and Medical Assistant training.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar job function.
  • BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of radiography and medical assisting.
  • Skills in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion, analyzing situations accurately, and establishing effective working relationships.
  • Abilities in prioritizing, evaluating continuous quality improvement, and communicating clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
