Job Description

OnPoint Medical Group is seeking an outstanding Medical Assistant to join our team at DTC! Our physician-led network is dedicated to expanding access to quality healthcare in a cost-effective manner, ensuring the health and wellness of members and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient intake and prepare patients for healthcare visits.
  • Document vital signs and populate all sections of the electronic medical record accurately.
  • Assist providers during examinations and treatment, performing point-of-care tests and maintaining supplies in exam rooms.
  • Maintain a service-oriented approach in conducting business with patients and colleagues.
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors supporting the practice and adhere to HIPAA guidelines for all systems.

  • Ability to complete individual and clinic tasks, work well with people, display empathy, and maintain medical records accurately.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited healthcare program such as Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Maintain state certifications and preferably be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Strong computer skills, EMR experience, and relevant Medical Assistant experience required.
  • Current BLS card.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics preferred.
  • Experience with the Athenahealth practice management system preferred.
