Member Experience Lead

Job Description

The Member Experience Lead (MEL) at VASA Fitness is a key member of the team, responsible for creating an uplifting and inclusive experience for all members. This role involves leading and developing a high-performing team to ensure an exceptional club atmosphere and a world-class experience for VASA members. Additionally, the MEL will be engaged in recruiting, training, and coaching the Member Experience Specialists (MES) and promoting REVIVE sales within the club.

Management Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager (GM) in forecasting staffing needs
  • Conduct interviews and ensure the right candidates for open positions
  • Schedule and facilitate training for new MES team members
  • Evaluate team member interactions, provide coaching and feedback, and delegate tasks to achieve efficiencies
  • Teach and coach MES staff on VASA's approach to convert a guest to a member
  • Support the GM in creating and achieving sales plans

Leadership and Coaching

  • Communicate, lead by example, and motivate the team to develop passion for the brand and values
  • Provide ideas and solutions to help advance the business
  • Delegate tasks, build trust and relationships, and provide coaching that inspires positive change
  • Give input and feedback to GM in succession planning conversations
