Merchandise Handler - No Weekends

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking full-time Merchandise Handlers to join our team. As a Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for the smooth movement of products within our warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise to optimize space utilization.
• Prepare merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize point of sale (POS) systems for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Provide basic training to other employees and lead by example.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and keep management informed.
• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent damage and maintain a safe facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; pursuing or possess a valid driver's license.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems preferred.
