Merchandise Handler - No Weekends
We are hiring immediately for Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations to join Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position offers a competitive starting salary of $17 per hour. Join us Monday to Friday starting at 7:00 am to be part of our dynamic team.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This role involves merchandise movement tasks such as storing, moving, and distributing products. As a Merchandise Handler, your responsibilities will include leading by example, providing training to other employees, and ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of merchandise operations.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
- Move and organize merchandise efficiently within locations.
- Handle merchandise movements to and from the show floor, ensuring product display and storage efficiency.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for managing product flow.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Receive incoming merchandise, inspect, and tag, and prepare outgoing merchandise for shipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic computer knowledge.
