Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Job Description

Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Merchandise Handler! We are currently seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to support our operations. Working full-time with overtime available, you will play a crucial role in efficiently storing, moving, and distributing products within our warehouse.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

This position focuses on merchandise movement tasks such as storing, transporting, and organizing products. As a Merchandise Handler, you will lead by example, provide training to team members, and ensure the efficient flow of merchandise.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Move merchandise within locations to optimize space efficiency.
• Transport merchandise to and from the show floor for display, storage, or delivery.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Receive incoming merchandise and prepare outgoing items for shipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (in progress is acceptable).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer skills.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.
