Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (Identity)

Job Description

Discover is looking for a self-motivated Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Identity Security Platform Authentication Services Team. In this role, you will automate, enhance, and optimize our portfolio, championing the design and implementation of impactful authentication technologies. You will be instrumental in securing Discover from emerging threats and adversaries by driving Cybersecurity engineering solutions, program optimization, and risk mitigation in a high-velocity culture.

Responsibilities

• Act as the principal advisor in Cybersecurity matters.
• Develop and deliver secure systems, cyber applications, and technical projects.
• Define the Cybersecurity technology roadmap and ensure compliance with audit and legal requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
• Research, engineer, and integrate new Cybersecurity solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Security or related field.
• Internal applicants must have technical proficiency rated as proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus Points If You Have expertise in Enterprise Single Sign-On/MFA, Authentication technologies/protocols, Cyber Security technologies, Automation technologies, Risk Based Authentication, and Programming/Scripting.
