Product Development Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Product Development Engineer to join the Dometic Marine team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for developing mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions for the marine market, ensuring compliance with government and industry standards. Your role will involve sustaining engineering for Limerick design controlled products, as well as collaborating with design engineering to design cost-effective and manufacturable solutions. You will work on developing tools, fixtures, and machines for fabrication and assembly, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and conduct in-depth analysis to enhance production processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Design cost-effective solutions for design problems.
• Create tools, fixtures, and machines for fabrication and assembly.
• Develop process flow maps and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Conduct studies to justify equipment purchases/modifications.
• Prepare work instructions and implement process changes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience in marine or vehicle controls markets preferred.
• Skills in solid modeling and 2-D modeling software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping.
• Experience with electro-mechanical sensors and measurement devices.
• Project management and office software proficiency.
