Registered Nurse Cardiac Stepdown

Job Description

Saint Vincent Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown unit. This role will provide direct clinical patient care, assuming responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis and unit level. Supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated is also a responsibility of this role. The individual will be accountable to support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care

• Support the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Advocate for the professional discipline of nursing

Requirements

• Graduated from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing
• Preferably holds an academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree)
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice nursing as required by law
• Hold a valid CPR certification
