Job Description

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance on production machinery, ensure food safety and quality, maintain cleanliness and housekeeping, and troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision. You will also utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures in documenting what is issued out.

Responsibilities

  • Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery.
  • Ensuring food safety and quality.
  • Cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Responding to radio calls from other departments for maintenance related actions.
  • Communicating with other departments and other maintenance shifts to ensure proper pass down of maintenance related issues.
  • Documenting daily work assigned on paper and in the maintenance management system (SAP).
  • Troubleshooting equipment with minimal supervision and communicating the status of the equipment to maintenance management and other departments.
  • Utilizing parts in inventory to repair equipment and following procedures in documenting what is issued out.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written).
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to operate and set up machines using manuals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and isolate malfunctions on production equipment and show mechanical aptitude.
  • Have basic computer skills and ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to use or learn how to operate a forklift and other motorized equipment.
