Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries for AWS customers. If you are passionate about practical cryptography and delivering secure software solutions, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography features.
- Operate an AWS business with globally distributed servers and customers.
- Build foundational libraries using C and Rust for secure and reliable services within AWS.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language along with leading design and architecture experience.
- Prior experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in full software development lifecycle processes.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
