Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about practical cryptography and securing customer data in the cloud, this is the opportunity for you. As a key member of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries team, you will contribute to building secure and user-friendly encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, from defining and prioritizing features to testing and implementation.
- Operate a globally distributed AWS business with high-security standards.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust for secure and reliable services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Strong background in system design and architecture.
- Leadership experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in full software development lifecycle and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
