Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a critical role in developing secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data for AWS customers. Your responsibilities will include owning the software development lifecycle, designing scalable systems, and delivering secure software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate globally distributed servers and provide support to customers.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust for secure and reliable AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience in engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
