Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Development Engineer specializing in AWS Cryptography to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As a member of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in building secure, open-source encryption tools and libraries for AWS customers. Your primary focus will be on implementing cryptography at scale to ensure the highest level of security for sensitive customer data.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers to deliver top-notch cryptographic tools.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance the security and reliability of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language with 5+ years of programming experience.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong background in coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
