Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about secure web services and open source contributions, this is an opportunity to work on building and maintaining encryption tools and libraries used to protect sensitive data inside and outside of the cloud. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists to deliver and support cryptographic solutions for internal and external customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate a globally distributed AWS business, ensuring security and reliability.
- Develop foundational libraries using languages like C and Rust to enhance security across AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with software programming languages and leading design/architecture of systems.
- Previous mentoring or tech lead roles in engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
