Are you passionate about contributing to open source and ensuring the security of millions of customers' data? Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries, enabling customers to protect their sensitive data in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including feature definition, prioritization, design, and implementation.
• Operate globally distributed servers and customers to deliver secure and reliable services.
• Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance the security of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with at least one software programming language.
• Strong background in leading design or architecture of systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
