Senior Software Development Engineer - AWS Cryptography , C3P

Job Description

We are looking to hire a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data for AWS customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
• Operate globally distributed servers and customers ensuring secure and reliable services.
• Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance security across AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
