Skilled Trades Instructor-Electrical

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled trades instructor specializing in Electrical work to join our team at Home Builders Institute Inc. As an integral part of our educational programs, you will be responsible for providing hands-on training and classroom instruction to equip our participants with the technical skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Instruct participants in trade skills using approved curriculum.
• Develop curriculum and training materials as needed.
• Coordinate hands-on training activities including projects in different settings.
• Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment with a focus on safety.
• Assist with student recruitment, placement, and employability training.
• Mentor and coach students to foster their development.
• Manage classroom activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journey-level experience in Electrical trade.
• Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.

Working Conditions

Usual office-type working conditions with some travel expected.
