Sr Merchandise Handler

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Merchandise Handler to join our warehouse team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing merchandise movement, providing training, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize merchandise in an efficient and space-saving manner.
• Transfer merchandise to and from various locations as needed.
• Utilize POS system for inventory management.
• Inspect, identify, and process incoming and outgoing merchandise.
• Provide training to team members and lead by example.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.
