Job Description
We are currently looking to hire a Senior Merchandise Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position requires Monday to Friday availability starting at 7:00 am with competitive pay starting at $17 per hour. As a Senior Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently storing, moving, and distributing products. Additionally, you will lead by example, provide training to other employees, and ensure exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Move and consolidate merchandise to optimize space efficiency.
- Transport merchandise to and from the show floor for various purposes.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow.
- Unpack, inspect, and prepare merchandise for delivery or storage.
- Provide training to other team members.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by maintaining accurate inventory records and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and organized facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or working towards completion).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems is desirable.
