Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Merchandise Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a vital member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for efficiently managing merchandise movement and ensuring a seamless process from storage to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Organize and optimize merchandise locations for space efficiency.
- Handle the movement of merchandise to and from the show floor.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
- Ensure accurate processing of customer orders and records.
- Participate in training and provide guidance to other team members.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Adhere to safety procedures and promote a secure work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; ongoing education is a plus.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
- Prior experience with POS systems is advantageous.
