Job Description - Substance Use Disorder Clinician

Responsibilities:

  • Provide necessary clinical care to clients in SUD programming to support their treatment goals.
  • Work collaboratively as a key member of the treatment team under the Program Director's guidance.
  • Deliver clinical care in group, family, and individual settings, promoting a safe and inclusive treatment environment.
  • Document case files accurately, including treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and community partner meetings.
  • Master clinical competencies and contribute to a recovery-oriented approach.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • State of Michigan license in Social Work or Counseling.
  • Certification as a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor (CAADC) or pursuit of certification.
  • Previous experience in SUD treatment and recovery is preferred.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, trauma, and brain development is beneficial.
  • Ability to pass agency background screenings and tests.

Physical requirements:

  • Proficiency in using computer systems and office equipment.
  • Capability to lift and transport materials up to 25 lbs.

Compensation details: $55,000 - $63,000 yearly salary.
