Job Description
We are currently seeking Warehouse Associates to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the movement and distribution of merchandise, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our operations. This position offers a full-time schedule with competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
The Warehouse Associate position involves storing, moving, and distributing products within our facility. This role also includes providing training to other team members and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Use the point of sale system to manage inventory flow.
- Provide training to new employees and lead by example in warehouse operations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required (or currently working towards completion).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware assemblies.
- A valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems is desirable.
