Warehouse Team Member

Job Description

We are currently looking to hire Warehouse Team Members with Forklift Operations experience to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing merchandise, while ensuring exceptional customer service and safety protocols.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position involves handling merchandise movement tasks, such as inventory management, customer order processing, and training other team members. Additionally, maintaining a safe and organized facility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within locations to maximize space usage.
• Handle the transfer of merchandise to and from the show floor for storage, delivery, or customer pickup.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management and order processing.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and inventory records.
• Participate in training sessions and provide guidance to fellow team members.
• Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols, operate equipment safely, and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (in progress is accepted).
• Basic math skills and familiarity with tools and hardware.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with a POS system is a plus.
