Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is hiring Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for storing, moving, and distributing merchandise efficiently with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This role involves handling merchandise movement tasks, including consolidating products for optimal space utilization and managing inventory using a point of sale system. Additionally, you will be expected to provide some training to fellow employees and deliver excellent customer service by ensuring order accuracy and resolving inventory discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
• Prepare merchandise for storage, delivery, or customer pickup.
• Manage inventory using a point of sale system.
• Receive incoming merchandise and ensure proper handling of outgoing products.
• Provide training to colleagues and communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following safety protocols and company guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with a point of sale system is desirable.
