Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Academic Instructor-PIV to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. In this role, you will perform as an instructor in a classroom setting, delivering instructions in specific subject areas while upholding our company's core values and principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage academic classes.
  • Help students achieve TABE gains, subject area attainment, and/or HSD/HSE obtainment.
  • Promote a positive classroom atmosphere for maximum student motivation.
  • Maintain discipline to ensure effective learning.
  • Document student records according to PRH and SOPs requirements.
  • Establish rapport with students and integrate applied academic activities into the curriculum.
  • Track student performance and progress.
  • Assist in completing necessary forms and case notes for students.
  • Ensure security and cleanliness of classrooms.
  • Prepare evaluations of student performance in a timely manner.
  • Assist in property inventory and monitor student progress.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and certification to teach in the state.
  • Preferred: One year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate students, and relate effectively to the student population.

Occasionally: Walking, Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Flexibility.

Seldom: Climbing, Lifting 50 pounds, Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Running, Driving.

Environmental Demands

Ability to operate office equipment, occasional work alone, 85% time spent working with team and other departments, read and write at a college level.
