Job Description

Aldi is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Team Member to perform a variety of duties within our warehouse. As a crucial part of the logistics team, you will be responsible for receiving incoming stock, relocating merchandise, loading and unloading shipments, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, participating in inventory counts, and more. Your collaboration and effective communication with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse processes.

Responsibilities

  • Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
  • Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
  • Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
  • Maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements through general cleaning duties.
  • Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
  • Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
  • Provide input to warehouse management to improve processes.
  • Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
  • Independently handle delegated responsibilities and assist in achieving budgeted goals.
  • Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures.
  • Follow ergonomic program and operate equipment according to safety guidelines.
  • Notify management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
  • Move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare products for store deliveries.
  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
  • Work in varying temperatures, including outdoor and refrigerator/freezer environments.
  • Safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
