Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a highly motivated and independent Accountant to join our team. As a CPA candidate, you will be responsible for working with the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and assisting various departments. The role involves utilizing federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and principles of governmental accounting to develop, review, and modify accounting procedures and systems. The position also includes assisting the Finance Director in preparing and analyzing fiscal reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and modify accounting procedures and systems.
  • Assist with the general ledger, account reconciliations, and department support.
  • Prepare and analyze fiscal reports.
  • Interpret and follow the Fiscal Control Act.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and governmental accounting.
  • Ability to analyze data, produce financial reports, and maintain confidentiality.
