Acme Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an Acme Operator to join WesternScott Fetzer's team. In this role, you will operate multiple spindle lathe type screw machines to machine metal bar stock with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms.

Essential Duties

• Effectively use shop packages including manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts.
• Set up and operate multiple machines concurrently as necessary.
• Ensure gages and tools used are within calibration dates.
• Sort and rework non-conforming parts as needed.
• Produce products meeting quality standards and report non-conforming items.
• Participate in scheduled SQCD Board meetings.
• Perform quality checks according to procedures and maintenance tasks as directed.
• Request raw materials timely and uphold inventory accuracy.
• Complete other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Safely and properly operate various production machines.
• Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
• Read and comprehend instructions, blueprints, and other documents.
• Write simple correspondence and fill quality forms.
• Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers.
• High School Education or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
