Job Description

We are currently seeking a part-time Cashier to join the team at McDowell Store. As a Cashier at our Goodwill retail location, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, promoting sales, and upholding the brand experience. Your responsibilities will include managing register transactions, maintaining sales floor standards, and engaging with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Starting Pay: $14.50 / Hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Point of Sale (POS) duties and process various forms of payment.
• Solicit cash donations from customers at the Point of Sale.
• Price merchandise accurately and assist customers when needed.
• Conduct closing procedures as required.
• Ensure excellent in-person attendance and customer interactions.
• Maintain a tidy sales floor following established standards.
• Stock merchandise appropriately in designated areas.
• Utilize store systems for announcements.
• Keep the store environment clean and safe.
• Demonstrate Goodwill Core Values in all actions.
• Undertake any other assigned duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and math skills preferred.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Pass background check and drug screen, when required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
