Catering Sales Manager

Job Description

The DoubleTree by Hilton Richmond Midlothian is seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager to join the Sales team. This is a full-time position, and the salary ranges from $50,000-$55,000 depending on experience. Full comprehensive benefits package available as well as Hilton travel discounts.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts including prospecting, site tours, sales blitzes, prompt and competent follow-up on leads/referrals as well as networking to maximize room revenue to meet and/or exceed individual revenue goals.
• Prepare and process correspondence, contracts, Banquet Event Orders, function information and agendas in a timely and professional manner.
• Plan, execute, and finalize food, beverage, and meeting room set-up requirements.
• Proactively upsell menus to achieve the highest possible profit.
• Disseminate all client requirements to the respective departments in the hotel and maintain detailed files, records, and trace systems.
• Verify all space requirements and meeting room set-ups with the client and ensure that event space needed is properly maintained and in good condition.
• Ensure all payments, master folios, and advance deposits are received as agreed and submitted to the Accounting Department for processing in a timely manner.
• Plan and conduct pre and post-convention meetings with clients and respective departments.
• Attend all training/meetings as required by management.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
