Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles, including Gillig buses, Cummins, Allison, and CAT heavy equipment owned by Summit County. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $45 to $48 per hour, with the potential for an up to $4,000 sign-on bonus*. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days per week, and there are additional benefits such as health, dental, vision, and 401k benefits, paid holidays, training opportunities, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform repair work on various vehicle components.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
- Provide road calls and emergency services as needed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement or obtain within 90 days of Employment.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience, or relevant technical school education.
- ASE certifications and willingness to participate in company ASE certification program.
- Must adhere to DOT drug testing regulations.
