Evening Med Tech

Job Description

The Evening Med Tech at Cottages of Perry Hall - Charter Senior Living is responsible for safely administering medications and treatments to residents. This position requires accurate documentation, a responsible demeanor, and good communication skills to ensure resident confidence in medication administration. You will also assist residents with transportation and appointments, maintain confidentiality, and notify the appropriate staff of resident changes in condition.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to scheduled times, following protocol.
• Understand and appropriately document on the 24-hour communication reports.
• Assist residents with transportation and appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality with resident and employee information.
• Notify the appropriate staff of resident changes in condition.
• Assist with monthly medication records and re-ordering of medications.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Medication room and medication cart.
• Have knowledge of and can demonstrate proper technique for various equipment as directed.
• Take accurate vital signs and weights, complete incident reports, and perform other assigned duties.

Other Requirements

• Has familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
• Preferred proficiency in English.
• Attend monthly in-services required for the position.
• Receive and maintain CPR certification.
