Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. As an LPN, you will work under the guidance of the Nurse Manager to provide quality nursing care to clients, ensuring they receive the best possible assistance within established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism, respect, and dignity in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Administer medication following protocols and procedures.
• Observe clients for signs of intoxication or side effects of medication.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and client medical information.
• Assist in casefinding, health teaching, counseling, and supportive care as directed.
• Act as a role model for staff and clients.
• Participate in training, education programs, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum one year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment setting.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Ability to effectively interact with diverse populations.
